In May and June the Fortech football team participated at two major events. Neither the rain nor the sun could stop them to play football whether for charity causes or for the team’s prestige in sports.

JOONIOR PARK FOOTBALL LEAGUE

The Joonior Park Football League took place in May 29th 2010 in the Babes Sports Park and was organized by the Romanians Foundation for Children, Community and Family (FRCCF) in order to support 3 causes representing the needs of the children: 1. I want to go to school!, 2. I want to go every day to the community center!, 3. I want to grow up big and healthy!

Fortech team together with the boys from the Cluj-Napoca Mayor’s Office played for the cause: I want to go to school. Fortech’s football team played all 3 games (we have won the match with Emerson, tied the score with Nokia and lost to the Mayor’s Office team). Our team won the third place, receiving the bronze medals.

Fortech team members received their diplomas and medals on Wednesday evening in the applauses of their colleagues. 

OFFICE DEPOT CHARITY CUP – SECOND EDITION

The event

Football Charity Cup was organized by Office Depot in order to raise money for charity. The participation fees were donated to the United Way Romania Foundation, which is reallocating funds for different community projects like the Romanian Maltese Relief Service, the Little People Association Romania, Caritas. etc

The event took place in June 19th 2010 in Manastur at the Unirea Sports Complex.

Fortech’s participation

Fortech was represented by two teams, each of them playing 4 matches. Fortech I. reached the semi-finals after winning all 4 matches of this group (Office Depot, Eximtur, Genpact, Nokia 2). Fortech II.  even though didn't made it to the semi-finals, did their level best (won against Emerson, lost to Cora, Dalex and Nokia 3).
